Hosted by Marshall Elevator, the combined research team’s project, Retractable Ramp, was selected by the Small Business Innovation Research Grants Program (CFDA No. 84.1335) for funding. The grant funded research for the development of a retractable ramp system for deployment on commuter rail systems that would enable persons with disabilities easy ingress and egress without assistance.
